Honor Code of the Cabal
General - Discriminatory remarks, either expressed or insinuated, based upon a person's age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
- Treat each and every player in the game, both guild mates and non guild mates, in the manner that you would like them to treat you.
- You are more than a member of Cabal. You are a representative at all times. Remember this in everything you do.
- Any unauthorized third-party programs or in-game bugs intended to be used as a hack or cheat are strickly prohibited. We don't need to cheat to win.
Guild Related - Always put the Cabal first, your realm second, and your group last.
- If you see a guild member requesting help, do so if you are able. If you are unable, try at least offering advice or encouragement.
- Never attempt to profit or steal from the guild or a guild member. Basic increases on crafted products are acceptable, but try and sell to guilies as close to cost as possible out of respect.
- Make every attempt possible to attend guild meetings and events. These will never be mandatory, but encouraged to show your support.
Alliance Related - Treat each member of our alliance as you would a fellow guild member. Our alliance is our extended family, and will be treated as such.
- Assist alliance members as best you can. When not possible, offer the support you would show your fellow guild members.
- Do not spam alliance chat. This includes jumping into an argument that is ongoing.
Loot Rolls - Only roll "Need" if the character you are currently playing can use the item being rolled on.
- Roll "Greed" for everything else, including alts or for salvaging.
- You may roll "Need" on an item for an alt only if you are currently on that alt when the loot roll comes up.
Grouping - The group leader has final say in who can and can't be in the group. However, make any effort that you can to include your guild members.
PvE - Always respect someone else's camp. If they were there first, do not intrude. We do this solely out of respect. This includes camping for named quest mobs, until they get their kill.
- Do not train mobs into other players. If they have any form of AoE going off a the wrong time, then you will be held responsible for their death.
- If an ally is struggling against a mob, offer assistance first. Never just jump in and help, as some will consider this kill stealing.
RvR - You will be merciless to every enemy you meet.
- If you encounter an ally fighting an enemy, it is your discretion to assist or not. If you choose not to, and your enemy wins, it is your responsibilty to avenge your fallen ally.
- If you or your group is fighting an enemy or enemy group and any allies assist you, do not chastise them in any way. Enemies belong to your realm, not to you individually.
- Do not use /emotes on or near fallen enemies. This is very bad form. (unless the game requires you to do so (e.g. Live Event))
Disputes - If you get into any form of dispute, be it with a guild member, alliance member, or realm member, take it to private chat. If it escalates, get an Officer involved immediately.
- Taking screenshots of any altercation is always a good idea. This gives Officers something to go by for resolving the dispute.
- Respect the Officer's decision regarding disputes. It may not be what you want, but it will be fair.
